About the Artist

My love for photography started about 20 or so years ago, on a mountain top in Arizona! I traveled quite a bit on business, was in an administrative-type career. And I realized I was visiting places I might never see again — unless I had pictures. So, I visited a camera shop where I bought a digital camera, a memory card, 2 lenses and a camera bag! And, since I had no clue as to how to change lenses, much less how to use a DSLR, I bought a book so I could learn how! Between business trips, I attended a few camera classes; most of what I learned was that I probably could not live without the latest (ie. more expensive) camera equipment!

My love for painting started quite a few years before I ever even saw that mountain top! It was in an art class a friend talked me into attending, which met once a week. I love bright colors and abstract paintings.

As for my love and/or passion for all kinds of art; I think I have always had that ever since I was a child! In college, one of my favorite courses was Art Appreciation. As President of the Tarpon Springs Art Association, I feel honored to be around so much talent and creativity...a really positive learning experience!
